How to Create a Google+ Account
What is Google+ used for?
Google+ is a type of social network used to follow interests instead of following people. It is absolutely for everybody. In this case we will be using it to share our thoughts on how well or poor a company performs, informing the public of our experiences.
Does Google+ cost anything?
No, Google+ is free to everyone and does not require any financial information.
What to consider when writing a review?
Consider all the things you noticed during your experience with the company. Include things like cost, accuracy of order, communication skills, presentation, location, and whether or not you would refer a friend there.
What will you need?
- Access to a desktop computer or laptop
- Access to the internet
- Experience using a web browser
- Experience using a mouse and keyboard

Making a Google+ account

In your web browser type “plus.google.com” then press enter.

If you already have an account with Google, you may log in and skip the rest of the steps in part one. If you do not have an account, continue to follow the directions here in part one and you will have an account shortly.

Scroll to the bottom of the webpage and click the blue link that says “Create an account.” After entering your first and last name, create and enter a username and password. We recommend you write these down so you do not forget them.

On the right half of your screen there are many blank boxes as seen in Figure 2. Each box needs to be filled with your information. This information does not need to be true or accurate but we suggest accuracy for the sake of recovering your account in case anything happens.

Select and fill each blank box according to it’s label.

Verify that you are not a robot by entering the text seen in the image provided. Remember to use spaces and capital letters as seen in the image.

As you near the bottom of the form, you will have to check the box located next to the label that says “I agree to the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Agreement.” If you wish to read these agreements, you may click on the blue links in the label.

After completing the form, click the “Next Step” button at the bottom right of the screen.

Now the screen will display two options, “No thanks” and “Create your profile.” Click “No thanks.” Now a new screen will pop up and you will be prompted to upgrade from a Google account to a Google+ account.

Your page should have Upgrade, Add people, and Be awesome listed on the left side of your page. The information boxes should be filled in for you. On the bottom right, click the blue “Upgrade” button.

Again, located at the bottom right of the screen you will see a blue button that says “Continue.” You may select people to follow if you wish but it is not required. Click the blue continue button.

You should now be in the “Be awesome” tab and may add a picture and additional information about yourself. None of this is required. Click the blue “Finish” button located on the bottom right of your screen.

Your Google+ account is complete. Now you are ready to find a local business and write a review.
